Job Description

Job Title: Senior API Developer

Location: Evanston, IL

Direct Client

W2 Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate our Asset Verification Solution with our Consumer Center Disclosure System.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and integration between systems to automate FCRA compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Optimize Hibernate queries to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance and integration.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in building RESTful APIs using Java v. 17 and Spring Boot v. 3
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database and experience in database efficiency.
  • Familiarity with FCRA compliance and related regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Top 3 must have skills:

  • Java v.17 API/REST services development, interfacing with API's with other team
  • SQL database experience, specifically with PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Working interpedently but attending meetings with team members and managers
