Job Description

Location : Everett, WA (Onsite)

Position Type : Permanent Hire, FTE

Shift : M-F 5 AM - 3 PM

Pay : Depends on position level & experience - see below descriptions for details

  • Pay is hourly, so you will be eligible for time and a half for OT

Assembly Mechanic Level I/II:

Pay: $42,000 - 47,900/year

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Applicable background to a specific work center
  • Mechanic experience (not aerospace needed)
  • Can stand on feet for long period of time
  • High attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Worked on cabinets before, installed cabinets into boats, making anything secure on a moving item
  • Carpentry, finish woodworking
  • Welding background
  • Experience with carpeting, sealants, Cement workers, stucco, concrete, spackle, dry wall, mudding

Job Description

The Assembly Mechanic 1 or 2 is responsible for building low to medium complexity assemblies. The ideal candidate will be able to produce parts which have already completed first articles verification; Collaborate with other Assembly Mechanics to produce medium complexity assemblies and is capable of the bonding and fabrication of a majority of subcomponents and lower-level detail parts.

Assembly Mechanic I/II Responsibilities:

  • Learn to problem solve and troubleshoot producibility challenges;
  • Build low to medium complexity assemblies and lower level detail parts;
  • Exposure to processes within potting and bonding work center (Fill and fair, install insert and edge pot);
  • Exposure to custom fabrication of parts, applying décor per finish requirements;
  • With minimal assistance perform complex repairs on components as required by the customer
  • Exposure with shop equipment drill motors, pneumatic tools, band saws, drill presses, various tool grinders, Rivet gun and bucking bar, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner
  • Exposure in use of Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes;
  • Exposure to electrical and structural part drawings;
  • Other duties as assigned

Assembly Mechanic Level III:

Pay: $55,000-65,000/year

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must have an Aerospace background
  • Experience as a lead or mentor
  • Subject matter expert for at least 1 work center (Potting, Bonding, Deco, or Final Assembly)

Job Description

The Assembly Mechanic III is responsible for producing prototypes and the organizations most complex components. They serve as the Subject Matter Expert and primary personnel to establish manufacturing process post First Article or Prototype. Train other assembly mechanics. Responsible for Bonding and Fabrication of Complex furniture. Provide input into business decisions operational or sourcing. Drive continuous improvement activity within the work center and identify new equipment to improve operational efficiency. Support development of work center operating standards in alignment to company and regulatory requirements.
