About the Job

The Homestead Exemption Analysis (HEA) Department is seeking a Bilingual Researcher & Customer Service Representative to research homesteaded properties, verify exemption eligibility, and respond to taxpayer inquiries .

This is a temp-to-hire position with the potential for long-term employment based on performance. The role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities .

Key Responsibilities

• Research and verify homestead exemption eligibility using internal and third-party sources
• Respond to taxpayer inquiries regarding exemption status and HEA letters
• Explain exemption policies professionally and clearly
• Log and maintain accurate case records in the case management system
• Identify discrepancies in exemption claims and recommend appropriate resolutions
• Manage inbound calls while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
• Follow HEA policies and procedures to ensure compliance
• Assist with special projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Bilingual in English & Spanish (required)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Confident telephone presence with strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• Customer service experience required; call center experience preferred
