BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to support their pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis.

Location: Indianapolis/hybrid

Overview:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and supporting the implementation of IT solutions for the client’s Scientists and lab employees. This role will serve as a bridge between IT and the business. Key skills will be the ability to build partnerships, influence cross-functionally, and across multiple levels of client partner management for successful implementations that add value to the implementation. This person will come in after the client Project Lead’s kick-off activities to keep the momentum going and stay actively engaged with the customer.

This Business Analyst will be primarily focused on sitting with the business understanding what will add value to the users in each area.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering, analyzing, prioritizing and documenting business requirements from hard scientists and engineers.
• Lead communications between client team members, business customers, and technical partners, with respect to:
• The collection and clarification of requirements.
• The communication of technical topics to business customers and technical partners in an easy-to-understand format.
• Document requirements in a variety of ways, and be able to recommend which method may be best in a specific situation or engagement to bridge any gap between business and IT:
• As stories in JIRA with clear acceptance criteria.
• As process documentation aligned with standard documentation practices.
• As wireframes or logical flow diagrams.
• Validating requirements with key business stakeholders to assure core requirements are adequately captured and documented for easy reading and understanding by IT Developer Team.
• Confirm requirements were met in Delivery.
