Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor expenses and revenues to ensure financial stability and efficient operations
- Utilize expertise in Medicare Cost reports at Critical Access hospitals to analyze and make informed decisions
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement budgets- Present financial data to board members, addressing any inquiries or concerns
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Medicare Cost reports and reimbursement processes
- Provide guidance and support to department heads in budget planning and execution
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to optimize financial performance
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency and profitabilityPosition Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital accounting, with expertise in Medicare Cost reports at Critical Access hospitals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make informed financial decisions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial data to board members- Proficient in financial software and tools to manage and analyze financial data
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and department heads
