One of Good Machine's portfolio companies just raised their seed round and is looking to hire a Chief of Staff for their start-up. This role will partner directly with the CEO and founders as they rapidly scale the company, and requires the person to work from the office in San Francisco. Good Machine will be assisting in the recruitment for the role.

Position Overview:

As the right hand to the CEO, this role combines high-level operational oversight with deep analytical capabilities to drive strategic initiatives, enhance decision-making, and ensure seamless coordination. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and data-driven analytical expertise, ensuring Somo AI’s growth and exceptional product deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Collaborate closely with the founders to define and implement Somo AI’s strategic vision and objectives
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines
• Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to provide actionable insights for leadership

Analytical Excellence

• Develop and strengthen the analytics function, ensuring complex data is translated into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision-making
• Conduct financial and operational analyses, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, foster growth

Executive Support & Coordination

• Serve as a key point of contact and advisor to the executive team, facilitating communication and collaboration
• Manage the executive office’s daily operations, including agenda-setting, meeting preparation, and follow-up on key action items
• Represent the CEO in internal and external meetings, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities

Organizational Effectiveness

• Drive the execution of key initiatives, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and accountable
• Develop frameworks and processes to improve decision-making, resource allocation, and organizational efficiency
• Act as a culture ambassador, promoting collaboration, innovation, and excellence across all teams

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and clients
• Act as a liaison between the executive team and partners to ensure alignment on priorities and strategies

Qualifications:

• Strategic Thinking: A keen eye for identifying opportunities and solving complex problems.
• Strong Execution: The ability to translate strategy into action and deliver results.
• Business Acumen: Experience communicating for and on behalf of an Executive.
• High EQ: Empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships.
• Strategic Consulting: A successful past experience advising and consulting technology companies is value add.
• Startup Experience: Experience navigating the challenges and opportunities of a high-growth startup is a plus.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay Band: $140,000-$210,000 depending on experience
• Full coverage of health, dental, and vision insurance
