POSITION OBJECTIVE

As the Project Superintendent for Miners Underground, you will be responsible for leading and managing the on-site execution of projects, including fiber installation, cable work, and fiber maintenance. This role involves supervising and mentoring the crew foreman, ensuring clear communication with engineers, and driving projects to successful completion on schedule and within budget. Acting as a liaison between the field team, Project Administrator, and Project Manager, you will ensure seamless coordination and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, manage, and hold crew foreman accountable, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure effective leadership and high-quality work.
  • Communicate regularly with the engineer to coordinate project execution and address any technical or logistical challenges.
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects adhere to schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee on-site project execution, monitoring progress and maintaining compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintain strong coordination between the field team, Project Administrator, and Project Manager by providing regular updates on project status and daily production.
  • Communicate workload priorities to crew foreman, specifying where, when, and what tasks need to be accomplished to meet project demands.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety among all team members.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while upholding the company’s mission to transform lives and glorify God through their work.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts on-site, ensuring smooth project progression and stakeholder satisfaction.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Prior experience is preferred but not required; no degree is necessary.
  • 5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent on underground construction projects, managing multiple crews on large-scale $2M+ projects with a proven track record of successful execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient project management and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and professional skills to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a “I will attack this problem” approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Eagerness to mentor and coach others, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry, with a commitment to promoting and enforcing a culture of safety.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project related challenges.
