Customer Service Representative, FCL
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING This position will contribute to the retention of customers and revenue growth by identify customer needs, resolving customer problems, providing pricing information and processing bookings. The objective of this position is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding client requirements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Respond to customer request for rates, which includes gathering customer information, quoting competitive rates and responding to customer feedback regarding rates. Proactively work with customers to obtain the booking.
• Process bookings timely, to include accurate input of customer and shipment details, for LCL and FCL ocean shipments.
• Identify customer needs, research and provide creative solutions and alternatives.
• Use all communication methods, telephone as well as email, to ensure customer understanding and satisfaction. Communicate thoroughly and clearly.
• Problem ownership. Remain engaged with the customer and all necessary parties, when situations arise, until resolution is completed.
• Update and maintain the company’s computerized customer profile database, including rates and services sold, as well as requirements pertinent to the individual customer or shipment.
• Provide backup assistance to all team members.
• Complete tasks and projects as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma
• Preferred Transportation experience
• Related Customer Service experience
• Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude; outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency In MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
