Job Description

Front End Web Developer

Department:  Platform

Position Type/Hours:  Full-time

Payrate: 90K / year

The Opportunity:  You will design, code, implement and maintain solutions for our company’s website as part of our customer facing application team. You will work with our leadership, product and design teams to make sure we are delivering a world class experience that solves real problems for our commercial and government customers.

  • Ability for CX, Methodology, Marketing, Design, FE and Sales to deploy content easily

  • Static pages with smart defaults

Essential Functions/Duties:

- Feature Development : Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and implement features that meet user needs and business goals.

- Technical Design:  Architect and build scalable, maintainable, and efficient front-end solutions. Create reusable components and libraries to enhance the development process.

- Collaboration:  Engage in Agile ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives) and collaborate with design and back-end teams to integrate APIs and deliver cohesive solutions.

- Code Quality:  Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Conduct code reviews, contribute to improving coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Performance Optimization: Must be performance obsessed. Analyze and optimize front-end performance, addressing issues related to speed, responsiveness, and user experience. “Thinks in milliseconds”

- Business Minded:  Monitoring lead generation and has ideas around digital marketing based off trends.

 

Innovation:  Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Propose and implement new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve the development process and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in front-end development with a strong portfolio of web applications.

 

- Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills:

- Familiarity with (in order of importance): 

- SEO

- Basic React

-Wordpress

-Kinsta

- CSS/CSS Animations

-Webpack

o Doesn’t necessarily need to know (but will be nice to have)

o Serverside rendering

o Next.js

o React Hooks/Context API

o Tailwind

 

Minimum Degree Requirement : Bachelor’s Degree

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
