This is a 25 hour a week internship paying $28/hour. You must be local to our Laguna Hills, CA office and able to work in our office 3 days a week.
Objectives:
To design and implement a proof-of-concept pipeline where a Raspberry Pi interfaces with a custom FPGA-based hardware accelerator to offload and run inference for lightweight large language model (LLM) components, enabling efficient edge AI inference.
Description:
Current BrainChip demo uses Intel x86 + Aether Core LLM as a demo platform. This project gets a proof of concept platform where the LLM is integrated with a high-end ARM series. This would be a useful offering in demo/trade shows showcasing our LLM ability with ARM.
Skills Needed:
•General EE/CS skills
•Programming : Python/C/C++
•Data Protocols: Understanding of PCie for communication
•Linux : Comfortable with RaspBerry pi OS, shell script , debugging
•AI/ML: Basic understanding of LLMs, tokenization, and matrix operations
Other: Ability to work independently and in teams. Excellent verbal, written and presentations skills.
