Job Title: Temp Insurance Specialist

Reports To: Insurance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Department: Business Management

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000, which represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual salary will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.

Your Role : NKSFB is searching for an Insurance Assistant who will join the growing Business Management – Insurance team located in our Encino, CA office. A potential candidate would ideally have a broad knowledge of all insurance matters including policy management, claims handling, and compliance. This individual will excel at providing excellent customer service, by delivering information and support to clients regarding their insurance needs. This individual may also assist the Insurance Department Managers & Insurance Department Specialists with managing any and all client-related matters on an as-needed basis. You will be highly organized, have excellent interpersonal skills, and understand various insurance products and regulations.

What Will You Do?

  • Opening and processing daily mail.
  • Review premium invoices for accuracy, process for payment, and confirm payment has been made to avoid cancellations.
  • Updating in-house summaries of insurances with renewals, changes, etc.
  • Heavy client, broker, and co-worker interaction via email and phone.
  • Evaluate the various insurance exposures and qualify appropriate quotes.
  • Communicate quotes, declinations, indications, extensions, and cancellations accordingly.
  • Escalate concerns to the direct Manager or client.
  • Manage and record client and carrier communication in the workflow system to ensure timely follow-up and review by the client team.
  • Gather and format client renewal information in summaries of insurance.
  • Check and confirm that policies match requested coverages once bound and received.
  • Upload policies to the internal storage system.
  • Ensure timely payment of client premiums and track return premiums for clients.
  • Management of insurance-related claims.
  • Opening and processing daily mail.
  • Effectively communicate insurance-related materials and information to clients, brokers, and team members via email and phone.

Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals preferred
  • 4+ years of insurance experience surrounding Property and Casualty, Personal lines, Disability, Medical, Dental, and Vision
