Job Description

We are seeking TWO highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. One Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting Real Estate Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance applications, ensuring profitable growth while adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements. The other Underwriter will be responsible for Accountants Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance and a broad range of other commercial insurance products.

Responsibilities:

• Real Estate Underwriting:
• Analyze real estate insurance applications, including property, liability, and related coverages.
• Assess property values, construction details, and other relevant risk factors.
• Evaluate liability exposures and determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Review title reports, appraisals, and other due diligence materials.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers to clarify information and negotiate terms.
• Professional Liability Underwriting (Accountants E&O and Miscellaneous):
• Underwrite Accountants Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance applications, including risk assessment, rating, and quoting.
• Market and place a variety of other professional liability and commercial insurance products with various insurance carriers, including but not limited to:
• Bonds
• General Liability
• Workers' Compensation
• Cyber Liability
• Consultants Professional Liability
• Title Agents E&O
• Mortgage Brokers E&O
• Home Inspectors E&O
• Employment Recruiters E&O
• Other non-medical professional liability risks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and insurance carriers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers to secure the best possible coverage for clients.
• General Underwriting Duties:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting files.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed about industry trends and changes in the insurance market.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient processing of policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial lines underwriting, preferably with experience in real estate and/or professional liability. Experience with Accountants E&O is a plus.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The pay is up to $85K and offers benefits
