We are currently expanding our Federal team and are looking for a Governance Manager. This opportunity is 100% remote.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance. We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Governance Manager with a strong background in federal IT governance and operations to lead and refine IT governance frameworks, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and oversee IT governance frameworks and policies to support organizational objectives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely and successful delivery of initiatives.
- Provide executive-level oversight of IT governance programs, identifying gaps, mitigating risks, and implementing transformative solutions.
- Analyze organizational processes and data to uncover trends, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making.
- Reengineer processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and collaboration.
- Drive the implementation of enterprise-wide strategies, aligning activities with organizational objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Initiate and Manage initiatives to support data standardization, interoperability, and enhanced performance metrics.
- Lead IT governance initiatives aligned with federal regulations and standards.
- Provide guidance on compliance with federal IT reporting requirements, including CPIC and TBM.
- Collaborate with federal agencies and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory mandates.
- Work with Enterprise Architecture leads to develop and implement an Enterprise Architecture Governance framework.
- Align enterprise architecture practices with governance policies to enhance operational efficiency and strategic alignment.
- Provide input into Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) processes to ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
- Assist with the preparation of portfolio summaries and related documentation.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure CPIC compliance with minimal disruption to broader governance objectives.
- Research the technical and management aspects of potential IT strategic initiatives to assist federal agency management and technical staff in evaluating proposed policy changes.
- Work with federal staff to understand IT investment requests, refine those requests, and document business requirements.
- Support alternatives analyses and cost estimating for IT solutions that satisfy the requirements of IT investment requests.
- Support development and tracking of IT investment artifacts and develop plans for reporting the status of IT investments to stakeholders within and outside the agency.
- Work with the CIO and CIO support staff to develop IT policies and processes to support transformation of existing IT governance processes.
- Recommend process improvement for the CPIC process and implement improvements and refinements.
- Develop white papers, reports, memos, information papers, decision papers, process flows, guides, and other materials as needed to support ongoing operations and proposed enhancements.
- Undertake special projects in support of IT Customer Service, including studies, white papers, and product evaluations aimed at improving IT customer services and delivery efficiency.
- Support ongoing and recurring activities related to federal IT governance and IT service management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and priorities.
- Provide clear, data-driven reporting to senior leadership, including dashboards and other visual tools, enabling informed decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to advance business process reengineering and organizational change initiatives.
- Document governance processes and workflows to ensure smooth transitions and consistent operations.
- Mentor team members and provide training to promote adherence to governance standards
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in Federal IT governance, program management, strategic planning, or enterprise operations.
- Proven ability to manage and enhance governance frameworks, align IT initiatives with business strategy, and implement process improvements.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale change initiatives, optimizing performance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Expertise in federal IT governance policies, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with federal IT reporting frameworks, including CPIC and TBM.
- Experience working with dashboards and reporting tools to provide actionable insights.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
