Are you passionate about designing outdoor living spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and sustainable? Would you love to be part of an energetic, innovative, and creative team? Our client is currently seeking a Landscape Designer for its Landscape Architecture practice in its multidisciplinary office space in Herndon, Virginia.

Our client is a dynamic, multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in engineering, planning, and design, with a strong emphasis on an employee-focused culture and a community-oriented, local portfolio. Since its inception, their Landscape Architecture studio has built a legacy of designing spaces that enrich communities, improve public well-being, promote sustainability, and encourage innovation. Their diverse portfolio ranges from large-scale campus plans and K-12 facilities to intimate courtyards and residential communities, providing opportunities for ongoing learning and the development of well-rounded expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with project team members to shape and guide the design and execution of projects of varying scales and types.
  • Assisting in the creation of design and construction drawings for landscape and site designs, including layout, grading, and hardscape.
  • Working alongside senior team members to develop conceptual designs using both hand-drawn and digital techniques.
  • Creating digital graphics and renderings using Adobe Creative Suite and other presentation software.
  • Providing graphic design, technical production, urban and landscape design, and site planning support for a wide range of projects, including mixed-use residential developments, streetscapes, parks, and community facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Landscape architectural degree (one-year of professional experience or internship preferred).
  • AutoCAD / Adobe Creative Suite & design proficiency.
  • Experience with Sketchup, Revit, and other 3D modeling platforms.
  • Have a passion for collaboration throughout the design and execution of projects.

What They Offer

Our client's benefits are a reflection of their inclusive values, designed to support employees in leading happy, healthy, and balanced lives. Their comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(K) with company match.
  • Flexible Hybrid Work Options with Dual Workspace Setup.
  • Robust Professional Development Support.
  • Competitive Paid Time Off and Paid Company Holidays.
  • On-Demand External Career Coach.
