Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician 

Reports to: CTO

Type: Full-time; In-person

Location: Atlanta, GA (Presso HQ)

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM

Presso is an Atlanta based Hardware Robotics company harnessing the power of technology to create the first line of on-demand, energy efficient, express garment care machines. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated  Mechanical Assembly Technician.  As a pioneer in the garment care industry, Presso is committed to creating cutting edge, eco friendly solutions that redefine the way we care for our clothes.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Position Overview: A skilled technician responsible for final assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the Presso machine while ensuring optimal performance and reliability through close collaboration with the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final assembly of complex machinery, ensuring all components are properly installed and aligned according to specifications and safety standards
  • Execute comprehensive testing procedures to verify machine functionality, performance, and safety features
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluid issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Document and communicate detailed feedback to the engineering team regarding equipment performance, recurring issues, and potential improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and testing results
  • Support production teams by responding promptly to equipment-related issues and implementing necessary repairs

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly procedures
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical maintenance manuals
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Capable of standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity to work with tools and small components
