Physical Therapist – Summer (ESY Program)

Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate, self-motivated Physical Therapists to help students with physical needs access their educational environments during our Extended School Year (ESY) program.

What You’ll Do – ESY Focus

As an Extended School Year (ESY) Physical Therapist , you’ll be part of a supportive educational team working with students who require continued services over the summer. Your goal is to help maintain progress and prevent regression in key physical skills.

You will:

• Deliver short-term, goal-driven physical therapy services in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Conduct brief assessments or screenings to determine summer service needs
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on maintaining functional skills
• Support students’ mobility, access, and participation in the classroom and school setting
• Provide adaptive equipment recommendations and assist with positioning or accessibility needs
• Track and document session attendance, progress, and any notable changes
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistency
• Apply practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to summer session timelines

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or eligibility for certification
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist
