Ideal Candidate Criteria: Experience as a Production Planner in a food manufacturing or similar environment.
Job Duties: The PRODUCTION PLANNER will work with the plant manager regarding all aspects of the production schedule.
Managing the scheduling and timeliness of the production process.
Scheduling production and monitoring the production process for problems.
Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Tracking/trending of data collected.
Working with and leading cross functional teams to optimize the schedule and to create efficient production schedules that meet customer demands, accommodate maintenance and shutdowns.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Ensures timely and appropriate response to customer and sales production requests.
Monitor the overall situation, including incoming orders, supply chain problems, market changes, and inventory issues to minimize the impact on production.
Evaluate the workforce needs and schedule and work collaboratively with Plant Management and HR to make sure we align our workforce capacity with customer demand.
Skills Needed: Good speaking, reading and writing skills in English for paperwork and computer training purposes. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook; good data entry skills.
