Job Description

We are seeking a Professional Landscape Architect to take projects from vision to reality. In this position, you will work collaboratively with our award-winning planning and engineering teams on a variety of exciting projects such as parks, trails, streetscapes, waterfronts, master plans, and urban design assignments. Williams & Works has a large municipal client base and the majority of our work is focused on public sector projects with some private development assignments. Responsibilities of this role include:

Bringing creative solutions to design and planning challenges

Effectively managing teams in the study, design, and implementation of projects

Successfully building and maintaining client relationships

Participating in business development activities including the research of potential project opportunities and preparing proposals

Assisting with grant applications for client projects

Preparing construction documents and technical specifications for bidding

Providing QA/QC review of plans

Furthering your knowledge base by participating in training and continuing education courses

An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture and PLA/RLA Licensure

5+ years practicing landscape architecture or experience working in a related field

Experience in project and client management and business development

Proficient in site design with an understanding of green infrastructure solutions

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, although other members of staff will be available to assist in the production of construction documents and other graphic deliverables

Excellent technical writing, organizational, and communication skills.

Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others in a collaborative hands-on environment
