WHO we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Public Relations Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating media relations and responsibilities including pitch material development, direct media outreach and management, and engagement tracking.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes multiple assignments and projects with minimal or no direction.
  • Leads project management and measurement analysis for the Strategic PR team, which includes compilation of weekly & monthly reporting and work back schedule.
  • Works closely with team members to determine the best solutions for depicting team results.
  • Works hand-in-hand with measurement agency partner to handle data entry of PR metrics, including coverage tracking and quality impact scoring.
  • Handles report delivery to appropriate department contacts.
  • Frequently deals with external customers at the highest level as well as agencies and possibly the media, so must understand the need for professionalism.
  • Use exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and abilities to prepare executive level reports, compile data into comprehensible format, and provide information for effective community, internal, finance, and company headquarters communications.

Required Experience and Education:

  • 2-5 years' experience in a Corporate or Agency Environment, preferably within a marketing/PR organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with media relations, including media outreach and inquiry management.
  • Experience with managing a database and interpreting data, including creating pivot tables, charts and graphs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.

Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
