Hybrid - 4 days onsite, 1 Remote

Base salary is between $59-65,000 with quarterly bonus opportunities & extra incentives!

Description

We are searching for an Investor Reporting Analyst II to join the Servicing division for our client. The Analyst will be responsible for meeting investor reporting and analysis requirements as well as responding to internal and external reporting requests. The Analyst will work with multiple institutional investors and provide a high level of service to all internal and external stakeholders. The Investor Reporting Analyst II must be able to handle detailed and complex reporting and reconciling requirements and work with a high level of accuracy, independence, and analytical prowess. Additionally, the Analyst must be able to organize around and deliver against tight deadlines. In addition to routine reporting, the Analyst will assist with procedure reviews and other department projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting to investors. The number, type, and requirements of investor counterparties may change periodically.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders, typically by assisting investors with questions regarding remittance differences, reporting differences, etc.
  • Meet or exceed all processing and reporting deadlines and timeframes and work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
  • Perform collection account reconciliations on a routine basis to ensure that transactions in the loan servicing system accurately reflect the bank activity. Perform the necessary research to identify and clear all reconciling items.
  • Perform reconciliations. Reconciliations include, but are not limited to, custodial bank accounts, month end collection, weekly payoff...etc.
  • Streamline and automate current reports and templates. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements .
  • Provide a high level of service to investors through correspondence and communications.
  • Review servicing agreements and research and implement best practices for new investor counterparties using knowledge of investor procedures, remittance, and reporting requirements.
  • Increase utilization and efficiency of loan servicing software for reporting requirements.
  • Cross-train existing and new employees in relevant investor reporting areas.
  • Assume other duties/projects as they arise and be responsive to other departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics preferred
  • 5+ year mortgage industry experience preferred
  • 3+ year experience with investor reporting and/or secondary mortgage marketing and loan servicing preferred
  • Few years of experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, Lending Specialist, Loan Servicing, Financial Operations Analyst, Cash Operations Analyst, Fiscal Analyst, etc.
  • Very proficient and experienced in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, hlookups)
  • Able to solve complex problems independently and with sound judgment
  • Mathematically savvy - able to ensure calculations from database are correct
  • Exceptional research and analytical abilities
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize projects and tasks, and adjust quickly while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • High attention to detail & accuracy is an absolute must have
