We are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment. You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared, and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. You will also need to multitask efficiently, and answer menu questions if the waitstaff is unavailable. If this role sounds intriguing to you, then let’s meet! • Handle booking of reservations, be quick to solve seating problems, and troubleshoot any phone inquiries from customers
• Monitor the dining room for tidiness, ensure all tables and chairs are organized, and that condiments are restocked when needed
• Guide diners to their seats and make sure everyone has the correct number of menus, utensils, napkins, and filled water glasses
• Assist with clearing plates off tables and getting tables ready for the next guests
• Welcome all diners with a friendly attitude to create an excellent first impression

Qualifications:

• Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
• Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around
• Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently

This person should be VERY FRIENDLY. I expect this person to go out and talk to our Guests and make sure they are satisfied with their breakfast. We are known for our Friendly Faces here at Hampton Inn and Suites in Tifton, GA and when I hire someone they will need to meet or beat the same quality of people we already have in place. We will ensure you are trained and have full knowledge of your position and what is required of you. We need someone that has a heart for serving our Guests, not just someone here to get a paycheck, although at the end of the day that is in fact whey we are all here, but I expect our Guests to see and feel more than that. They need to see a Genuine Person asking them, how they are and if there is anything they can get for them? This is a mandatory position for being friendly and caring.
