We are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment. You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared, and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. • Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Respond to phone inquiries professionally and secure reservations while ensuring all seating issues are quickly and efficiently handled
• Help clear and wipe down tables and set up tables with utensils and glassware for the next party
• Learn the menu, including the daily specials and accurately describe how dishes are prepared
• Lead all guests to their seats, ensuring they all have a place to sit, proper glass and tableware, filled water glasses, and menus

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
• Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
• This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
• Some restaurant, hospitality, and/or food services industry experience is preferred
