Job Overview

The Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting the Walmart and Sam’s Club Omnichannel by providing knowledge and insights thru sales analytics to maximize category growth. This position is also responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of consumer and shopper data related to the channels to increase category sales, customer satisfaction, and ROI. The position will drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and be expected to provide ongoing enhancements to regular and adhoc reports.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Identify sales opportunities and develop fact-based selling stories using POS data to grow sales and drive strategic discussions for the business
• Create reports to identify new trends and recommend improvements in sku mix, space requirements, online presence, and optimal feature representation
• Communicate recommendations to sales, forecasting, marketing, and the account for improving POS, sell through, item selection, and geographic placement
• Develop compelling presentation materials with insightful sales data and metrics for buyer meetings
• Provide ad hoc analysis to help drive the business forward and/or address issues as they arise
• Supporting and providing the team / customer with weekly reports related to the business to increase category sales, customer satisfaction, and ROI
• The position will drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and be expected to provide ongoing enhancements to regular and adhoc reports
• Work seamlessly with internal cross-functional partners that lead to mutually achieving objectives

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years analytical experience including working with multiple data sources
• Direct account experience working on Walmart and/or Sam’s Club
• Advanced abilities with Luminate, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Power BI, etc
• Self-motivated, self-starter, strong work ethic
• Passion to contribute at a high level in a team atmosphere
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Presentation skills and proven ability to convey complex analytics into actionable task
• Knowledge and experience using Circana is a plus
