We’re seeking a dynamic Sales and Events Manager to drive revenue and curate exceptional events at a premier new restaurant and champagne lounge in downtown D.C. This high-profile position places you at the heart of an upscale dining experience that seamlessly blends French Mediterranean cuisine with timeless elegance. As the Sales and Events Manager, you must be exceptionally well-connected in the international and diplomatic community, as well as in the charities and foundation event space. You should possess the ability to navigate and thrive in circles where the who’s who connects and networks, including members of exclusive social clubs and prominent fine arts patrons in the D.C. area, for example. Your expertise in building relationships with high-profile clients, international organizations, and dignitaries will be essential in positioning the restaurant as the go-to venue for exclusive events. In addition, you’ll know how to strategically sell event space to international clientele, offering tailored experiences that showcase their countries’ unique cultures and highlights. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in elevating our brand, attracting high-value clients, and creating unforgettable events that align with our vision of luxury and sophistication. Key Responsibilities Sales Generation: Drive private dining and event sales by building relationships with local businesses, VIP clients, charities and event organizers, Embassy representatives, Congressional officials, social clubs and fine arts patrons, and international influencers. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with the restaurant’s exclusive positioning to generate business and schedule high-profile events . Event Planning & Coordination: Oversee all aspects of private and special events, from concept to execution. Collaborate with clients to tailor the experience, ensuring each event reflects the restaurant’s luxury brand and meets the highest standards. Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for event clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Anticipate client needs and preferences, ensuring a seamless, personalized experience that exceeds expectations. Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to promote event offerings, special occasions, and unique dining experiences, leveraging social media, partnerships, and other platforms to drive brand visibility and interest. Budgeting & Reporting: Manage event budgets, track revenue, and report on sales performance. Provide insights to management on event success, client feedback, and areas for improvement. Team Collaboration: Partner with front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure flawless event execution. Lead pre-event briefings to align all staff on client expectations, timing, and service standards. Qualifications ~5+ years in sales and event management, preferably in an upscale dining or hospitality setting. ~ Proven track record of meeting sales targets, building strong client relationships, and executing high-end events. ~ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. ~ Knowledge of French Mediterranean or luxury dining a plus. ~ Strong understanding of event logistics, budgeting, and client experience. ~ Bilingual proficiency in French is preferred; fluency in Italian or Spanish is also highly valued.
