Senior Project Manager

Location: Richmond, VA (25% travel required)

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 base + 15% bonus

PTO: Unlimited; no blackout days

Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates

Overview:

We are hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex power distribution projects for data center buildouts. This role is based in Richmond, VA, with occasional travel to project sites across the U.S. Candidates must bring a strong background in project management and experience in power generation or distribution, specifically with UL standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium to high-complexity projects from planning through execution
  • Manage stakeholder communication and ensure alignment across engineering, customer, and internal teams
  • Oversee timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for multi-site projects
  • Ensure compliance with applicable UL standards (e.g., UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, etc.)
  • Maintain a strong field presence and build trust with customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide detailed project updates and lead customer meetings

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in power distribution or power generation projects
  • Deep familiarity with UL Standards relevant to power equipment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable with travel (approx. 25%) and primarily onsite when not traveling

It is a bonus if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering or business administration
  • Experience with data center or large-scale infrastructure buildouts
  • PMP certification
  • Military experience
