Now Hiring: Senior Traffic Design Engineer

As part of the team, you’ll contribute to innovative private and public developments across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Working closely with project managers and mission-driven engineers, you’ll help deliver technical excellence and creative solutions for a variety of multimodal transportation projects. You will work closely with public agencies, municipalities, and private clients to develop innovative, safe, and efficient traffic solutions. Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the preparation of traffic signal design plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and temporary traffic control plans in compliance with MUTCD, agency, and project-specific requirements.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related design software to produce high-quality engineering plans and drawings.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and reviewing agencies to ensure designs meet regulatory standards and project objectives.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates in traffic engineering and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3 + years of experience in traffic design, including traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, and TTCPs.
• Strong AutoCAD/MicroStation skills
• Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
• Excellent organizational skills.
