Job Description

Position Summary:

This position supports the HRIS Manager and oversees project life cycle management within the Corporate People Department, Information Technology, and Payroll Departments. The role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing changes or enhancements to the HRIS systems. The position is responsible for all HR technology currently utilized by the client, evaluating current processes, and recommending software solutions for the People Department. The current technology includes HRIS systems such as Base HR, Benefits Administration, Compensation modules, Time and Labor, Development, OnBase (HR Imaging), and vendor interfaces. This position also provides customer service support to field HR departments and develops training and procedures for utilizing this software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support for HRIS-related questions and issues, resolving simple to complex policy and transactional questions related to Workday HR administrative policies and practices.
  • Understand the industry and the solutions offered by the Company. Be able to see the big picture on projects and discuss in-depth all steps needed for requirement gathering, implementation, and support.
  • Oversee complex technology projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and proper use of HR information from the systems. Review and prioritize system maintenance and enhancement requests, track issues, and document test results.
  • Assist the HRIS Manager in analyzing new system functionality of Workday and develop recommendations for process improvements.
  • Conduct project life cycle management, including requirement gathering, development specifications, report and procedure development, testing, and implementation of new or redesigned systems.
  • Work closely with the HR Corp Team, IT, and Payroll teams to ensure data integrity and recommend changes in methods or procedures to increase HRIS function efficiency.
  • Prepare and execute tests to ensure that modifications to Workday are adequately tested before implementation.
  • Assist in developing new HRIS processes and procedures, providing documentation and training to the appropriate teams.
  • Develop complex data reports using Query, Excel, or other reporting tools to support ad-hoc customer requests.
  • Serve as a backup to the HRIS Analyst for the following tasks:
    • Perform weekly maintenance of the Benefits Administration module and vendor interfaces/data extracts.
    • Monitor the HRIS system through data audits and reports.
    • Maintain HRIS procedures manual and documentation, distributing to appropriate teams.
    • Assist in training HR Corp and Payroll team members to enhance system performance and increase their knowledge and skills in Workday.
    • Assist the Benefits team during open enrollment by addressing and resolving enrollment issues.
    • Assist field HR with input, correction, and reporting requirements.
    • Ensure all open calls are resolved within specified timeframes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or MIS preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years HCM experience, with at least 3 years utilizing Workday.
  • Knowledge of querying, data analysis, and testing.
  • Understanding of HR, payroll, and benefits processes.
  • Leadership qualities, including assertiveness and good judgment.
  • Extensive problem-solving experience with technical systems, including troubleshooting and implementing new procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle varying workloads with high accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills, decision-making ability, and analytical skills.
