Job Description:

The Client is looking for a Software Developer (Mobile Developer) to join Ignition Tax Product the software engineering group responsible for building tools that enable teams of global accountants to perform complex tax and financial services for some of the world s largest companies.

As a member of the UI/UX team the Mobile Developer will be responsible for developing new features by translating design mockups into a functional user interface. They will also refactor existing features with a futureproof approach research the latest practices in the Expo/React Native ecosystem and maintain a development environment with uptodate tools. Additionally the Mobile Developer will write and maintain clear documentation and Standard Operating Procedures prepare and deliver presentations to both technical and nontechnical audiences collaborate with QA teams to test and create comprehensive test cases enhance codebase resiliency maximize application security and work with backend developers to design APIs for mobile use.

We are looking for organized and communicative team players who will advocate for the user experience of our mobile software throughout its cooperative development with adjacent teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build crossplatform mobile applications and application features using the Expo SDK and React Native.
  • Refactor existing application features.
  • Develop extensible components and stored procedures adhering to principles of modular architecture and responsive UI.
  • Write unit tests.
  • Collaborate with designers on UI designs and with backend developers for API integration.
  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand business needs and how they are best translated into fullscale applications and/or application features.
  • Do independent research projects and present to teams.
  • Be an advocate for user experience design and communicate vision to teams.
  • Contribute to design and development language documentation.
  • Identify areas for design and development improvement based on latest and upcoming industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • High levels of expertise with Expo SDK and React Native.
  • Proficiency with native build tools and package managers: NPM Xcode Android Studio and associated CLI tools.
  • Experience working with JSON data models and mobile integration with REST APIs.
  • Ability to write clear documentation of processes in Markdown.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing intuitive engaging easytouse visually appealing mobile applications and progressive web applications.
  • Previous experience delivering clientfacing applications.
  • Experience working in structured environments following Agile methodologies.
  • Selfdirected with excellent verbal written presentation and facilitation skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science information science or management information systems.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Proficiency with native build tools and package managers.
  • RN.
