Contract Length: 13 Weeks | Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,400/Week (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care is seeking a skilled and experienced Local Travel OR Tech for a 13-week contract assignment in Grants, New Mexico. If you have a background in Orthopedic surgery and are looking for a high-compensation, short-term contract role, this opportunity is for you! OBGYN experience is preferred but not required. This role offers a competitive pay rate, with weekly earnings up to $2,400 based on your experience. Job Description
As a Local Travel OR Tech, you will support the surgical team in the operating room by preparing sterile fields, assisting in orthopedic procedures, and ensuring a smooth surgical experience for patients and staff. Your duties will include:
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and available for procedures
  • Assist with orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and other musculoskeletal procedures
  • Provide assistance during OBGYN surgeries as needed (preferred experience in this area)
  • Maintain sterile technique at all times during surgery
  • Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments post-procedure
  • Monitor patient safety and assist the surgical team with positioning patients as required
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to provide excellent patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of surgical procedures and related activities
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment
  • Be adaptable and assist with other tasks as needed within the surgical department
Education & Certification Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Experience in Orthopedic surgery (2+ years preferred)
  • OBGYN surgical experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and equipment
Skills & Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of orthopedic surgical procedures, including joint repairs and replacements
  • Ability to maintain composure and stay focused during high-pressure situations in the operating room
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff
  • Flexibility and ability to handle a variety of tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
  • Weekly pay up to $2,400 based on experience
