Job Title: Vendor Operations Project Manager - Clinical Trial Patient Engagement

Location: Hybrid in Indy

Duration: 18-month contract

Job Description:

The Clinical Trial Patient Engagement team is seeking an experienced Vendor Operations Project Manager to oversee procurement, budgeting, and contract management activities for vendor partnerships supporting clinical trial engagement initiatives. This role will play a key part in managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, and optimizing financial and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor operations and procurement activities, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including contract reviews, awards/rejections, filing, and renewals.
• Lead Statement of Work (SOW) and Purchase Order (PO) creation, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
• Track and manage invoicing, budget allocation, and financial forecasting for vendor-related expenses.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors, facilitating procurement touchpoints and contract negotiations.
• Ensure accurate and organized vendor documentation, supporting audits and compliance requirements.
• Utilize Excel and financial tracking tools to monitor and report on budget status and spending trends.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in vendor operations, procurement, or project management, preferably within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, SOWs, POs, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (budget tracking, financial reporting, pivot tables, formulas).
• Experience managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and financial forecasting.
• Highly task-oriented with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and project management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical trial operations or patient engagement vendor management.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical procurement regulations and compliance.
• Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement tools.
• PMP certification or formal training in project management.
