Sr. Product Strategy Consultant, VEHICLE CONNECTIVITY AND MOBILITY SERVICES

 

Purpose:

The Sr. Product Strategy Consultant will be responsible for managing multiple products and services in Telematics, Vehicle Connectivity and Mobility arena, from entire lifecycle including the strategic planning and initiation of new product & service development, implementation, operation and on-going enhancement of related products and services. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including business requirements definitions and use cases design, partnership development and management, project governance, financial tracking and analysis, partner contracting and management, application of standard product management processes and artifacts, performance and risk management, process and methodology development and improvement.

 

Essential Functions:

Lead and perform all activities required by product/ service portfolio and lifecycle management professionals, these include:

  • Define requirements, conduct impact assessment of new initiatives related to products and service development, from Technology and Business perspectives.
  • Lead and engage multiple projects and program management in the Vehicle Telematics and Connectivity/ Mobility Service arena.
  • Lead and conduct Product/ Service Categorization and portfolio management, including nomenclatures, definitions, associations and documentations (Manuals, Marketing materials, Tech Spec)
  • Lead lifecycle management activities – i.e. Product configuration management, PCR (Product Change Request) management, Product Quality/ Performance/ Issue & VOC management
  • Act as a single point of contact and SME of related product and service portfolio
    • Functions as a key advocate for Client Business Units (CBUs); Serve as a single point of contact for the managed products and services-related inquiries and requests from clients
    • Managing all aspects of related products and services operation including issue management, audit support, billing, performance reporting and wireless account management, maintaining contract compliance and facilitates contract development/ amendments with clients, HMG affiliates and partners.
  • Lead and conduct market research for discovery of insight and propose new products and services initiatives.
  • Develop Value Chain Partnership , Productization Strategy, Product Roadmap

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and preferably an MBA.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in the telematics, IT, Telecommunications or automobile industry.
  • 7 + years leading or participating in business strategy or technology projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Consulting experience at a Big4 consulting company, highly desirable
  • Experience with entire project portfolio and entire lifecycle management.
  • Experienced with entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for solution delivery
  • Experience managing contracts, SOWs, and change order processes for both customers and vendors.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and timely communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver against critical deadlines.
  • The ability to influence others and collaborate with various stakeholders while maintaining an executive presence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to interpret difficult instructions, derive valid conclusions, and recommend reasonable courses of actions within the scope of the position.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to receive high-level direction and proactively move a project or internal initiative from start to finish with minimal assistance.
  • Experience preparing and leading client technical presentations
  • Experience with Vehicle Telematics/ Connectivity/ Mobility industry a plus

Other Requirements

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience
  • Experience with AGILE or other program management methodologies
  • Experienced in understanding and contributing to the business and technical architecture and design of a product/ feature(s).
  • Strong MS Project skills required
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Analytic, Documentation, and Organizational Skills
  • Efficient with multitasking between multiple projects
  • Data Analysis Skills (e.g., SQL data extraction, Exporting to MS Excel, data manipulation, Report Formatting, and analysis)
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft products including  MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint 2013

 

Certifications

PMP Certification a plus

Six Sigma Certification a plus

 

Salary range: $112,830 to $173,756
