Overview of the role:
PokerStars North America is looking for a Head of Acquisition to oversee customer acquisition efforts across the United States & Canada. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing this role is located in Philadelphia, PA / Cherry Hill, NJ.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
What you’ll do:
As the Head of Acquisition for PokerStars North America, you will be responsible for driving new customer growth across the United States & Canada. This role will oversee our acquisition team(s) who are responsible for all digital marketing touchpoints (Search, Social, SEO/ASO, Display, Affiliates, TV/Radio), as well as live events, professional sports team sponsorships & ambassadors/influencers. Our next marketing team pro will drive best in class results through media optimization & strategical excellence.
The Head of Acquisition will be responsible for forecasting performance results & executing the appropriate media mix. This role will require best-in-class reporting and executive communications. Team leadership skills are a must, with the ability to execute the company’s vision across all marketing teams.
This role will be within the North American paid media team, which sits within the larger global marketing organization of PokerStars. The core function of this team includes acquiring new customers, generating brand awareness, and retaining existing customers.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the development of marketing acquisition strategies & execute plans to ensure we deliver on business objectives.
Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including test & learn opportunities, tracking & reporting of results.
Working with Senior Leadership Teams to communicate key wins and areas for improvement.
Manage the marketing budget across performance channels to ensure our media mix is set up to achieve our goals for the month, quarter, and year.
Conduct reoccurring performance meetings with junior team members to ensure efforts are on pace to plan.
Ensuring our teams are setting and hitting goals. Managing a performance team which will require bi-annual reviews, feedback cycles and hiring.
Conduct reoccurring market research analysis to keep up with industry trends & competitive insights.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in digital growth marketing with a comprehensive understanding of Digital Advertising (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates, SEO/ASO). Traditional media experience is a plus.
Understand key performance metrics to crush campaign results.
Identify short- and long-term resource needs in relation to ad / Mar Tech.
Extensive knowledge in analytics / reporting (Google Analytics, Micro Strategy, Power BI, data studio, excel).
Experience of managing marketing teams. Preferably performance / growth teams.
Strong attention to detail with oral and written communication.
Thorough understanding of SEO preferred.
Exceptional written & oral communication.
