Position Summary:

Fred F. Collis & Sons is seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our dynamic service team. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and efficiency of our operations while ensuring customer satisfaction. The HVAC Service Manager will oversee multiple personnel, balance workloads, and maintain transparency through high level reporting and communication.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Occasional nights and weekends for on-call dispatching (remote capability available)

Salary Range: $60k - $80k (incentive bonuses available based on performance)
Tentative Start Date: Spring 2025

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Oversight:

- Supervise and support the Dispatcher, Field Trainer, Purchase Order Agent, and Service Technicians.

- Foster a collaborative, positive and efficient team environment with clear, consistent and open communication.

- Facilitate solutions with owners/managers to address workplace dynamics, guided by the Collis Mission Statement.

- Work with lead technicians and focus on leadership development.

2. Operational Management:

- Work with the service team to maintain balance in both workload and workforce to meet and exceed yearly departmental goals.

- Work with lead technicians and owners/managers to ensure optimal service delivery.

- Mediate and resolve customer and employee complaints promptly and professionally.

- Oversee departmental workflows and processes, ensuring they remain current and accessible from both the field and the office.

- Work with the accounting coordinator to make collection calls on overdue balances whenever there are negotiations or technical issues to be mediated with the customer.

3. Administrative Duties:

- Manage and verify employee timesheets for accuracy and timeliness.

- Report weekly metrics, including revenue, callbacks, and quality performance indicators, to maintain departmental transparency.

- Create and maintain on-call schedules to meet all of the team's availability

- Organize processes within the Google Drive for accessibility

4. Quality Assurance:

- Collaborate with the Quality CRM to ensure all notes, photos, quotes, and invoices meet Fred F. Collis & Sons' benchmarks.

- Work with the owners/managers to maintain competitive pricing in the market and update the price book accordingly.

5. Continuous Improvement:

- Evaluate and update department processes to align with best practices and industry standards.

- Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve service quality and efficiency.

- Provide regular check-ins with your employees as well as annual performance reviews.

- Preferred: 5+ years experience in the HVAC Service field

- Preferred: NATE, EPA, and BPI Certifications
