Nurse Manager

Full-Time | Salaried Exempt Position | 40+ hours per week

The Washington County Commission on Aging is seeking a Seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee home and community-based programs, primarily Maryland Access Point (MAP). This is a non-clinical role focused on program management, education, and oversight of key services, including SHIP, MIPPA, SMP, CHW, Level One Screens, MFP, and more. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid, strong leadership skills, and a passion for community health. This position also includes co-teaching and providing backup support for the Community Health Worker Course.

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated nurse with strong communication and teaching skills who thrives in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams, overseeing programs, and providing education to the community and staff. This position requires public speaking, grant writing, and budget management, as well as the ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of HCB programs, ensuring quality service delivery.
• Manage and support a team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and reporting to senior management.
• Develop and conduct community education programs for older adults, caregivers, and professionals.
• Engage in grant writing, reporting, and budget management in collaboration with the Finance Team.
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines and organizational policies.

Requirements:

• Active LPN or RN license (Required).
• Associate's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience (nonprofit management, education, or nursing).
• Management experience in community programs, healthcare, or related fields.
• Teaching or training experience in adult education or professional development.
• Strong organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Comfort with public speaking and leading educational sessions.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Flu, TB, Hep B, and full immunizations required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $58,000 - $61,000
• Health, dental, and vision insurance (single & family coverage available).
• Life insurance and 403B Retirement Plan with up to 5% employer match after one year.
