Patient Experience Coordinator

Oceanside, NY. We currently seek a Patient Experience Coordinator to align with leaders and Interdisciplinary Team members in a clinical setting to optimize the patient/family experience. The Patient Experience Coordinator is in a unique position to observe and influence processes and behaviors that result in patients/families feeling safe, well cared for and cared about. You will engage the staff in experiential learning and provide direct observation with appreciative coaching on recommended best practice techniques. The objective of this role is to promote positive employee engagement in relationship-centered care through active listening, clear closed loop communication and teamwork, addressing what matters most to each individual patient/family. The relationship of patient safety, high quality care and a positive experience will be understood by the staff. Success will be measured using quantitative data (HCAHPS), qualitative feedback (Voice of the Patient) in all forms, and Nurse Manger/staff satisfaction.

We require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, organizational development, counseling, hospitality, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, with demonstrated experience coaching and supporting others to achieve goals. Experience in healthcare environments preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
