Senior Sourcing Specialist

Business Unit: Aerospace & Defense

Location: Corona, CA

CIRCOR International is seeking a highly motivated Senior Sourcing Specialist to join our Supply Chain team . This role requires experience in manufacturing environments and a proactive approach to sourcing activities and cost reduction initiatives . The ideal candidate will take ownership of sourcing strategies, collaborate closely with internal teams, and drive supplier performance improvements.

You Will:

• Execute cost reduction strategies for purchased parts in collaboration with Supplier Quality, Buyers, and Sourcing Specialists.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing, validating, and sourcing various commodities.
• Manage the transfer of assemblies and components between manufacturing sites to ensure a seamless transition.
• Oversee purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production needs.
• Analyze supplier cost structures , negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost-saving initiatives .
• Lead or contribute to project management activities, ensuring on-time and within-scope execution.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance and maintain quality standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.

You Have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years in sourcing, project management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment , with strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes .
• Certifications (Preferred): CPSM, APICS, or CPP.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Technical knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes, particularly in aerospace .
• Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems .
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) .
• Strong leadership abilities and stakeholder influence.
• Advanced data analysis skills to assess supplier cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.
• Negotiation expertise to secure competitive supplier agreements.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Self-motivated , capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work across international time zones as needed.
• Ability to work under pressure , consistently meeting goals and deadlines.

Compensation

Pay Range: $82,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience, skills, and market location).
