Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Peripheral Bench Technician with emphasis on actual hands-on printer repair experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining system hardware. You will work at both in-house and on-site locations, providing quality service for our Customers while ensuring the optimal performance of their equipment. Duties

• Diagnose and repair printer and computer peripheral hardware issues in the capacity of a bench technician, working on various printers (thermal, laser, dot-matrix, inkjet), keyboards, ID & barcode readers/scanners and other peripherals.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting to resolve printer issues and any application interface issues with various application systems.
• Utilize schematics, as needed, to understand equipment layouts and to facilitate repairs.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal printer performance.
• Provide field onsite service to client locations to resolve printer issues.
• Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively to perform repairs.
• Work with other team members to improve equipment repair process efficiency and Customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used to update company CRM Work Order system.

Requirements

• Experienced in printer and computer peripheral hardware repair with hands-on experience in troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of printer troubleshooting techniques across various operating systems and technologies.
• Familiarity with schematics and manufacturer technical/maintenance manuals related to printer products.
• Previous experience (3-5 yrs) that includes hands-on printer service technician or in a related IT role is preferred.
• Demonstrate mechanical ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Experience with various Printer OEMs' (such as Fujitsu, Honeywell, Zebra, Custom, IER products) is strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong Customer service communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Must have transportation with insurance for onsite service calls.
• Bi-lingual ability in Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.23 - $23.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
